Like other districts after the 2020 Census data was released, the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government (LFUCG) redistricted their city council seats.
During this process, the members of the redistricting committee proposed plans that kept the majority of precincts in the same district, moving a total of 46 precincts to new districts.
Once the council approved these new districts, an updated file was made available in LFUCG's Data Catalog. From this source file, these districts were uploaded to the DNC & KDP's data warehouse to match to the previous district council configuration.
As a result of this, a CROSSWALKS table has been created with internal proprietary data which allows the DNC to update these districts within Votebuilder.
These districts will be updated in early January 2022.
