On Thursday, September 23rd, we’re making a number of improvements to make MiniVAN more intuitive, especially for first-time canvassers.
First, when Auto Sync is enabled for a MiniVAN Campaign, canvassers will see a reassuring message that their information is being saved automatically.
Additionally, our research shows that most canvassers immediately switch to Map View when downloading a list, so we’re saving them a step by defaulting to Map View.
To more clearly show the number of people in each household, we’re adding people icons to the existing dots. Blue indicates the person was canvassed, orange indicates the person wasn't home, and gray represents all other canvass results.
Finally, in order to make sure canvassers are applying results correctly, we have added additional helper text and validation messages for the Refused and Inaccessible canvass responses.
As a reminder, the new minimum operating software is Android 7.0 and iOS 12. This affects a very small number of users.
These changes will help make way for more significant MiniVAN improvements in early 2022.
