Master Survey Questions Overview
To help campaigns build and hone their universes, each campaign will receive access to past candidate IDs that have been mapped back to Master Survey Questions (MSQ's).
MSQ's aggregate and map survey questions and responses into one place, allowing us to inform targets (e.g., removing voters that past campaigns ID'd as voting Republican and making sure we keep talking to voters who were ID'd as voting Democratic in a general election). However, while all committees will be able to use MSQs to locate voters who were ID'd in the past, they will not see which campaign / county party made the ID.
Master Survey Questions in VAN
To locate MSQ's in Votebuilder, users will need to go into "Create A List" on the Home Page, and go to the "Survey Question" section (see the photo below). Typically, Master Survey Questions will be indicated using the abbreviation "MSQ" in the Survey Question Name. In addition, a full list of MSQs available can be found in the following section.
