For campaigns wanting to match large lists (at least 50 records) to the Voter File, please email either a CSV or Excel file of the list with proper formatting to Votebuilder@KYDemocrats.org..
In the email, please identify the campaign you are with and the timeline in which the data match is needed by. As noted below, list matching can take up to seven business days to complete. In addition, please include what should be done with the data (such as should the KDP state admin go ahead and do a bulk upload of the data).
Proper formatting includes separate columns for the following data points and whether the field is required or optional:
REQUIRED
| matchback_id | A Unique identifier to match the results back to. If one does not exist, KDP will create a unique identifier using BigQuery prior to running the list. |
| state_code | The state code of the people on the list. Since this will match data back to the Kentucky voter file, only records for KY voters will be matched and returned. |
| first_name | The first name of the person on the list. |
| last_name | The last name of the person on the list. |
AT LEAST ONE REQUIRED
| middle_name | The middle name of the person on the list. |
| date_of_birth | The date of birth of the person on the list |
| address | The address of the person on the list (just the number and street name) |
| city | The city of the person on the list |
| zip | The zip code of the person on the list |
OPTIONAL
| phone_number |
| email |
| gender |
| suffix |
| ethnicity |
If a file does not have proper formatting, we will let you know and ask for it to be fixed as we will not clean up a lists' formatting.
Once the file has been received, we will send a followup email acknowledging it has been received. Please allow seven business days for the list to be run through the match system.
Note: If the list is being used to append phone numbers to the voter file from a vendor or campaign database, the request will move through a different process in collaboration with the DNC.
